Forget Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing humane, sustainable, and dignified solutions for individuals returning to their home countries after migration, displacement, or crisis.
We exist to ensure that return and reintegration are not afterthoughts, but vital components of the global response to migration and human mobility. Through evidence-based programs, partnerships, and advocacy, we help returnees rebuild their lives — and their communities — with stability, opportunity, and hope.
Our Mission
To transform the process of return and reintegration into a pathway for renewal, by empowering individuals and strengthening communities to achieve lasting reintegration outcomes.
We do this by:
☼ Providing comprehensive reintegration support — from psychosocial care to economic empowerment.
☼ Building local capacity for sustainable, community-led solutions.
☼ Promoting policies and partnerships that protect the dignity and rights of returning individuals.
☼ To promote and foster forgiveness and building and encouraging the spirit of letting go to past experiences.
☼ To receive and readmit returnees back to Kenya and giving them a fresh start.
☼ To educate returnees on topics like emotional Intelligence, intra- and interpersonal intelligence, including communication, social behaviour and empathy, and stress management.
☼ To create a greater equality in reintegration outcomes and greater equality in access to basic social services among returnees of different genders and ages.
☼ To assist returnees in identifying housing by listing places to live.
☼ To provide rent support and or temporary housing to returnees.
☼ To ensure privacy, data protection and confidentiality.
☼ To respect the right of institutions and beneficiaries.
☼ To educate, encourage and support business seminars by working with statutory and non-statutory agencies.
☼ Work with the Government institutions.
☼ Incorporate with the Return and Reintegration programmes offered by the International Organization for Migrations (IOM).
☼ Promoting talent enhancement support program and international dialogue.
☼ Implement capacity-building for Forget Foundation initiatives.

Our name is a call to action — a reminder that no one should be forgotten in the complex dynamics of migration and return. Every returnee has a story, and every story matters.

Our Impact
☼ Supported over 300 returnees in achieving sustainable livelihoods.
☼ Partnered with the Kenyan Government, Kenyan National Police Service, Kenyan Department of Immigration Services, European Commission, Open Society Foundations, international Organization for Migration (IOM), EU-IOM Knowledge Management Hub and Erasmus Plus, to strengthen national reintegration mechanisms.
☼ Conducted 8 community programs promoting inclusion and resilience.
